NFT Blends: Burn-to-Craft Recipes on WAX
Let holders burn ingredient NFTs to craft new ones with on-chain recipes and provably-fair randomness.
A blend is an on-chain recipe: users supply ingredient NFTs (or tokens) to craft an output NFT. By default ingredients are burned, making blends a deflationary mechanic that drives value toward higher-tier NFTs.
Click + Create Blend from the Blends dashboard to open the 5-step wizard.
Step by step
- 1
Recipe Info
Set the name, description, image, and collection, plus timing and limits: Max Uses (0 = unlimited), Cooldown, Pity Threshold (guarantee an output after N failed random rolls), Use On-Chain Randomness (ORNG), and whether the recipe is active immediately or paused.

- 2
Ingredients
Add what users must supply with + Add Ingredient. Match by a specific template, any NFT from a schema, any NFT from the collection, or a specific token (e.g. WAX). Each ingredient is either Burned (destroyed) or Transferred to a target account. For token ingredients a 2% platform fee goes to the contract owner and 98% to your wallet.

- 3
Outputs
Map what users receive with + Add Output: Mint New NFT (a brand-new NFT from your templates) or Transfer Existing NFT (from a creator pool). Note: blends that transfer existing NFTs are locked and cannot be edited after creation.

- 4
Access & Whitelist
Optionally require authorization, add whitelisted WAX accounts, or add NFT Ownership Rules that gate execution to holders of specific NFTs (AND logic).

- 5
Review & Deploy
Verify the summary and the on-chain actions (createrecipe and whitelist), then click Create Blend to deploy.

RAM is required first
Deposit WAX into the Blend Contract before users can execute blends — storing recipes and execution records uses on-chain RAM.
Crafting a blend
Collectors craft from the marketplace under Drops → MintyBlocks → Blends. They open a recipe, select qualifying NFTs for each ingredient slot, and click Fuse Now to burn/transfer the ingredients and claim the reward.
